This lovely High School in Wigan needed our help to get some instruments to allow more of the students to be able to make music. The school was given a grant and special performance took place in Year 7 and 8 assemblies. This generated new interest from students wanting to learn to play. Saxophone lessons have now started and a number of students are learning the new flutes. Each year the school holds the Shevington Festival and the new woodwind group that is currently under development due to the new instruments will be playing at the festival. And, the school aim is that by September 2019 they will have a small orchestra with brass, woodwind, strings and percussion!
