We wrote back in June last year of the amazing fundraising concert held in memory of Jamie, who tragically took his own life. His amazing Mum, Tilly, decided to organise another Memorial Event and this was held on 30th November at Henfield Village Hall in Sussex. The wonderful news is that Tilly and her Team raised over £1000 for our charity!
A great evening took place with ballads, flamenco, blues and pop covers. A moving posthumous set from Jamie Robertson, RIP February 15th ’19, was shown on screen.
We attended and the atmosphere was amazing and many people came from the village and surrounding areas.
Here is a comment from Toby, a supporter who was there:
“It was both heartbreaking and yet really positive to hear Tilly speaking openly about both her son Jamie and about suicide more widely, it’s the biggest killer in men under 45. We will only be able to lower this by removing the taboos of talking about our own mental health, something many of us do not always find easy but is totally invaluable”.
So, huge thanks to Tilly and her Team of helpers, she is already planning the 2020 gig!
