Juliet was very eager to bring free cello lessons to a local primary school and a group of refugee children, to build their confidence and help them in other areas in school and their lives. We helped her to get some instruments and the lessons are now well underway!

‘I am a professional Cellist who performs and teaches, and I wanted to bring the opportunity to learn the Cello in a group setting, for free, to those who wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity.

I am very grateful for this grant and the opportunity it has given me to start these groups. Music education is vital for a child’s development and, at present, is not considered important enough in the school curriculum.’
